Jason Steffan

Growing up I relished watching the undersea adventures of Jacques Cousteau with the Calypso ship, researching the beauty beneath the ocean’s surface. I grew up in Southern California and Hawaii and developed a strong bond with the ocean from a young age. This eventually expanded to all forms of water…from a simple swimming pool to high altitude mountain and glacier lakes.

Each shoot I engage in is somewhat of an expedition in that it requires extensive planning and organization which results in these stunning images. I am fascinated with the beauty underneath the waters surface…a world most people never get to see.

I hope my work sheds some light on this stunning world.
